Step One, Your Budget. You will need an accurate budget of the entire scope of the project from removal, disposal and finally installation of your new carpet choice. - Have a three step walk-off mat as you enter your building. Minimum 8’ long to remove some of the soil from outside works best. Vacuum these mats daily to decrease the amount of soil being tracked into your new carpet.
- Weekly vacuuming of all tenant hallways is critical. Common areas may need to be vacuumed more often.
- Once per year the halls need to be steam cleaned. Manufacturers recommend hot water extraction only.
