With limitless style and colour options, Broadloom Commercial Carpet still is popular with designers wanting to find a warm, patterned and noise-reducing surface. Although carpet tile is growing in popularity, there is still great demand for broadloom and that seamless wall-to-wall look.
Also known as tufted carpet, broadloom carpet is produced on a wide loom and commonly sold in 12 to 15 foot wide rolls. It is laid over padded underlay and cut to size for a wall-to-wall installation. Broadloom carpet is flexible, forgiving and available in a multitude of colours and patterns. Nylon, polyester, and Olefin (polypropylene)— are the most popular fibers used in broadloom carpeting. Nylon is super popular due to its durability and relatively lower cost. Broadloom carpeting is available in wool as well, however it is a more expensive fiber that is naturally stain resistant and durable.
