Sheet Vinyl
Sheet vinyl flooring comes in versatile styles and is great for high foot traffic areas like kitchens, playrooms or moisture-prone areas like bathrooms and laundry rooms. Commercially it is ideal for excessive wear situations like industrial kitchens, care facilities, hospitals, and dental or medical offices where performance and infection control are vital.
Sheet vinyl flooring is made entirely from a synthetic material called polyvinyl chloride plastic (PVC). PVC is heated and pressed into thin layers to form either sheet vinyl or luxury vinyl tiles/planks. . Each piece of vinyl features a photorealistic layer portraying hardwood, stone or a ceramic look. Sheet vinyl flooring is laid down in sheets that are 6 or 12 feet wide. It can have a no-wax finish that works well for light foot traffic and minimal exposure to dirt and moisture, or a urethane finish which is more durable and can stand up to heavy foot traffic and resistant to scuffing.
