Okamura Dental Clinic
The Okamura Dental Clinic resides at 2635 West Broadway in downtown Vancouver. The owners are siblings, Janice and Derek, with more than 25 years each of dentistry practice. They opened up the Okamura Dental Clinic in 2005 and after running a very successful family oriented dental practice for 15 years they decided it was time to update the premises with Luxury Vinyl commercial flooring.
The project began end of April 2020 at the peak of Covid restrictions and continued through May while the clinic was closed due to the Pandemic. Beatty Floors and Gibraltar Construction took extra precautions to ensure our mechanics were safe, and the clinic was protected as well. Full tarping was applied to the walls and all equipment was protected as well.
Floor Prep For Luxury Vinyl Install
Floor prep was extensive as existing carpet, sheet vinyl and ceramic tile left the concrete pitted and rough. Beatty Floors often will use a panther flooring removal machine that removes cemented tile easily and effectively. The installers did an excellent job of preparing and patching the concrete to ensure a smooth, flat finish.
Commercial Flooring Selection For Project
One of the deciding factors in the selection of product was to highlight a unique custom door in the hallway. Beatty came up with a stunning luxury vinyl commercial flooring match with EZ Lay LVT– color Vanilla Sunrise, by XL Flooring. The grain and coloration in the plank highlighted the wood door beautifully.
The final result is a stunning, unique floor that complements the new finishes of the updated clinic.
Okamura Dental Clinic is now fully open, and Janice and Derek have received complements on their flooring and the overall renovations from their returning patients.
